Removing the existing fixture
If you already have a faucet installed, then you will need to get it removed first. Make sure that you get the main water supply to your faucet turned off. This can be done by loosening the supply tubes at the cold and hot valves. Using a basin wrench will give you the easiness in doing this step.
Removing the existing pop up drain
Get the nut above the Ptrap removed and then get the nut attached to the Ptrap loosened as well. Get the Ptrap removed as well as the pop up lever from the drain. Get the lock nut which holds the drain to the sink loosened. Get the drain as well as the drain flange unscrewed.
Get the faucet secured to the sink
This can be done by placing Teflon paste on the stems of the faucet. If your faucet is with rubber gasket, get it installed on the faucet’s base before getting the faucet stems inserted in the sink’s right holes.
Getting the drain housing attached to the flange
Get the caulk applied to the drain flange which is t the underside and then get it pressed into the hole of the drain. Get the lock nut placed on the housing of the drain and then get the metal washer as well as the gasket placed on the housing.
Get the pop up drain placed
Get the pop up drain dropped into its place and then get the hole kept for the sink’s rear. Get the pop up drain installed.
Get the supply tubes cleaned as well as checked
Get the new extension attached to the Ptrap. Get the supply tubes cleaned by getting the aerator removed from the faucet. And then check it whether there is any leak or not.
