How to paint entry door, especially the wood entry door? Do you know what to do? Those questions are common and a lot of people are asking the same questions over time. It might be the reason why I am writing this article, to show you how to paint entry door. So, let’s stick around and find out what you are going to do now. Of course, you need to get a few things before starting the job, such as screwdriver, tarp or plastic sheeting, painter’s tape, paint, paint roller and paint tray, and paintbrushes.
Once tools and required materials are there, you could start the project by losing the door from the frame by unscrewing the hinges, but make sure you hold the door in place. Once the hinges are removed from the door, you could take down the door. Before putting the door on the ground, you should lay a tarp or plastic sheeting over the surface. Place the door right in the center of the tarp so you will get more space to cover the either side. Apply the primer first and give time for it to dry. Then, use the fine-grit sandpaper to sand the primer
Apply paint primer to the door’s surface and allow the primer to dry. Sand the primer with fine-grit sandpaper so you will get smoothed surface of the already applied primer. In order to dust the sanding, you could use a dry paintbrush. Since the surface is ready, do the main crucial job above of all, painting the door with the intended colors. It does not matter what you are using to paint the door, it could be a paint roller or a paintbrush, anything matters. Once all surfaces are covered with the new paint, you could finish things up by placing back the door to its frame.
