Glass tile as backsplash is just something awesome of course. Maybe so far you only see regular tiles used for the backsplash, but the glass tiles is surely something awesome. It is able to add characteristic to the overall style of the kitchen itself. After done selecting the style that you wanted, next thing must be done is to make some research on this particular backsplash. By doing this you will reduce frustration that could arise from the process when doing the project.
Preparing the wall
This is important to get the wall ready and prepared. A good preparation means a good result. This can be done by cleaning the wall thoroughly and then leave it dry until the wall is ready. Then while waiting the wall dry, make a measurement for the length as well as height of the backsplash.
Lying out the tiles
After the wall is ready, and you also have the measurement that you need, it’s about time for laying the tiles now. Get the top row marked with max pencil where the tiles will meet each another. Get the tiles cut using cutter and the return them to the place.
Measuring the area of the window
Get the area around the window over the sink measured and then get a cutout drawn on the tiles that correspond. And then get this done for any receptacles that are on the wall. Then get the mastic spread smoothly onto the surface using trowel and the get the tile pressed into their place and don’t forget to make spaces among them. This will be the grout line.
After you have done all of the steps above, then you can now finish the overall project. Create the grout line and then it’s all done.
